Biografia
William Holden, nascido William Franklin Beedle Jr., (O'Fallon, Illinois, 17 de abril de 1918 — Santa Mônica, Califórnia, 16 de novembro de 1981) foi um ator norte-americano, sendo um dos atores de maior bilheteira do cinema da década de 1950. Foi casado com a atriz Brenda Marshall durante trinta anos e teve com ela dois filhos: Peter e Scott. Nos últimos anos de sua vida viajou em missões ecológicas e culturais para África, sempre acompanhado da atriz Stefanie Powers, estrela da série de televisão "Casal 20". Tinha a mania da higiene, chegando a tomar quatro banhos por dia.
