Russell McCaskill Simpson (17 de junho de 1880, Danville, Califórnia - 12 de dezembro de 1959, Woodland Hills, Califórnia) foi um ator americano que apareceu em mais de 500 filmes. Ele é mais conhecido por suas aparências de "velho grisalho". Magro, esguio e com aparência rústica, Simpson foi um ator conhecido por quase 45 anos, principalmente como membro da John Ford Stock Company. Aos 18 anos, Simpson prospectou ouro no Alasca. Ele começou a ter aulas de atuação em Seattle, Washington. Em 1910 ele se casou com Gertrude Alter, de Nova York.
